Our Abbey Pet Hospital dog boarding, with cats boarding if desired, provides a comfortable home away from home with experienced caregivers. Our facility is small and our staff will quickly know your dog or cat by name and give them lots of love and attention.

We provide food, fresh blankets and towels along with classical or soft jazz music playing throughout the day to keep our canine and feline friends calm. You also have the option of 15-20 minute private dog walks along the El Cerrito Greenway.

Our dog boarding kennel, with cats welcome, is open 6 days a week includingSaturday until 2pm. The kennel is closed on Sunday although staff members are here throughout the day taking care of our four legged friends. We offer runs and various size cages for the dogs. They are also placed in runs two to three times a day. Before we leave every evening a technician does a final walk through making certain every pet has fresh water, a clean cage and a soft blanket before we turn the lights out.

All pets that are boarding are required to be current on vaccinations and free of fleas and internal parasites. For the dogs, that includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines. For cats, we require Rabies, FVRCP vaccines.
